If an awarded students’ parents are divorced or separated and each contribute to tuition, ACE Scholarships will apply scholarship awards accordingly.
- If divorced/separated and one parent pays full tuition, that parent should complete the application and if awarded, the entire amount of the scholarship will be awarded to that parent’s application.
- If divorced/separated and parents split tuition, each parent may complete an application for their portion of the tuition and award decisions will be made according to that parent’s financial qualifications. *Please note in the comments section if this is the case so that ACE is aware of the duplicate applications per student. If awarded, each parent will be awarded a scholarship for the % of their portion of the tuition. Ex: If tuition is split 50/50, and both parents apply and are awarded for a total scholarship of $3,000, each parent would be awarded 50% of that award, or $1,500 each.
- If divorced/separated, and parents split tuition, but only one parent is interested or eligible to complete the application, please do so and make a note in the comments section that the application is for __% of the student’s tuition, as payments are split.
- For any circumstances that do not fall into the above, please contact ACE directly for guidance on completing the application.
